Inspired by a line in the lyrics of “Vincent (Stary Stary Night)” by Josh Groban:
“The silver thorn of bloody rose lie crushed and broken on the virgin snow.”
Now it might seem kind of a hack as my wall isn’t original but, despite that most of my walls have generally followed that pattern recently, this time it was actually intentional given my inspiration. The inspiration being cinema, and the impact a film can leave on me.
Kazuhiko Tsuzuki: Fly by Tama-Neko
Inspiration: Tears and Rejection by chubbykitty
The Sunshine Underground by flyindreams
Inspiration: Colorblind by Taztooed
MY Emotion inspires me to wall, the music i listen to and artworks that are subtle and things that can be seen regularly in our everyday lives, things that aren’t pretty in real life but can be positively beautiful in artworks
I was inspired after seeing this over at devART, called “Out of Bounds” type of photo manipulation. It looks so cool that I wanted to try it myself (btw, I used this tutorial as a guide)
Relativity. by nageni-kun
This wall is actually inspired by those really-creepy-yet-awesome PS3 commercials. La la.
what was my inspiration? …….what was the first thing you thought when you saw the thumbnail? or the first thing you remember? ..dont keep reading damn you until you remember!….a clue…halloween movies….
whatever…just read……
well if you thought in tims burton’s movies or art ….or if just now realized that it actually looks like it, then I did my work like it was supposed to…
dont know why but tim burton’s stuff makes me think in a blue color….instead of an orange or just black…..what do you think?

The colouring style is inspired by this wall, from http://ashi.anime-epoch.com/
Only Time by chubbykitty
Inspiration: Enya – “Only Time” (techo remix)
Inspired by some of the most creative Jack O’lantern carvings, I chose the death god Ryuk as the new face of this Halloween season.
Inspiration: This morning I came across a French artist named Tentacle Eye aka Antoine Carrion, noticed his “Genghis Khan” artwork and knew immediately I had to work “it” into a wallpaper. I have always been fascinated by the empire Cinggis Qayan [Mongolian for Gengis Khan] built, his military/strategic genuis, loyalty to others, and how he integrated/learned from various cultures.
Dark Craibe – Letort Nouveau by Tama-Neko
Inspired by: Art Nouveau in general, but Candy-chan’s been walling a bunch of Nouveau lately.
Inspiration: Traditional art, ink on wallscrolls and ukiyo-e. And also dramatic cropping of a female character like in this manga cover.
Cafe Kichijouji De: Superstition by Tama-Neko
Inspiration: shirt
- Just Be, Just Do – by alterlier
Inspiration: DJ TiĆ«sto – “Just Be”
“If you want the rainbow…” by MapleRose
Inspiration: Life is like a Rainbow by chubbykitty
Inspiration: Interpretation/Storytelling
Specifically with this wall, my inspiration came from Ghibli/Miyazaki’s trademark quirks of having mystical creatures, characters with child-like innocence/mannerism and messages about the nature – here showing the kodamas getting upset over the leaf dropping, almost like a child losing a candy.
