oldboy by crapmonsterNow it might seem kind of a hack as my wall isn’t original but, despite that most of my walls have generally followed that pattern recently, this time it was actually intentional given my inspiration. The inspiration being cinema, and the impact a film can leave on me.

I have always been fascinated by the empire Cinggis Qayan [Mongolian for Gengis Khan] built, his military/strategic genuis, loyalty to others, and how he integrated/learned from various cultures.

Specifically with this wall, my inspiration came from Ghibli/Miyazaki’s trademark quirks of having mystical creatures, characters with child-like innocence/mannerism and messages about the nature – here showing the kodamas getting upset over the leaf dropping, almost like a child losing a candy.
